A Wagoner man is in jail, accused of molesting a 10-year-old relative.
Police arrested Kenneth Petrick, 35, Monday, after the girl told her school he had molested her. She alleged Petrick gave her a drink that tasted strange and then, after she went to bed, Petrick came into her room and touched her under her clothes, while she pretended to be asleep.
According to the affidavit, the girl told investigators she told a friend about the incident at school the next day. That friend then told another friend, who then told a teacher, who contacted DHS.
The school informed the girl's mother of the allegations on that day, March 29. The mother went to Wagoner County authorities and made a report on March 30.
The girl's mother also told police a friend had called, asking why they were getting text messages from Petrick, "saying he was a pedophile and needed a bullet in the head."
Records show the 10-year-old girl told investigators that Petrick showed her pornographic images and videos and let her sit in his lap, while he drove his car. She told police the drink Petrick gave her smelled of whiskey and cough syrup.
Police say Petrick willingly provided a DNA sample, and denied ever touching the girl. He was charged and arrested Monday, after investigators conducted a forensic interview with the girl. His bail was set at $25,000, and he was ordered to have no contact with the alleged victim.
