Deputies and Osage Nation Tribal Police responded to a 911 call from a rural Osage County home Tuesday evening and found a man shot multiple times.

The call came from a home near 5300 North 40th West Avenue sometime after 8 p.m. A couple inside the home said a man they each had a protective order against was on their property.

Osage County Undersheriff LouAnn Brown said the shooting victim is the ex-roommate of the property owners, according to the couples' paperwork.

The undersheriff said the couple made two calls, the first reporting that the man was on their property and the second that he was trying to get into the house. Before authorities arrived, someone in the house shot the ex-roommate, the undersheriff said.

The victim was transported to a Tulsa hospital. His condition is unknown.

The undersheriff said the investigation is still ongoing. A man and woman were seen in the back of a sheriff's vehicle, but the undersheriff didn't say whether they were under arrest.
