The Tulsa Drillers won their second straight game with a 3-2 victory against Corpus Christi on Monday afternoon at ONEOK Field.

And those who made it out to the ballpark for the unorthodox noon start were treated to an exciting final few innings. Tulsa cranked solo home runs in the seventh, eighth and ninth innings for a come-from-behind victory.

Tulsa left fielder Kyle Parker completed the Drillers' comeback with a walk-off home run over the right field wall in the ninth.

Corpus Christi opened up the day with a 2-0 lead after the first two innings and it looked like it was going to be a long day for the Drillers' offense. But, better late than never, the offense showed up in the bottom of the seventh inning when Henry Wrigley fired a solo homer over the left field wall to get on the board and cut the deficit to 2-1.

Then in the bottom of the eighth, Angelys Nina fired a solo homer of his own to right field, erasing the deficit before Parker's ninth-inning homer completed the comeback victory.

The Drillers recorded nine hits on the day while allowing the Hooks to hit seven.

Tulsa starter Dan Houston went 5.2 innings on the mound, allowing five hits and two runs. Reliever Parker Frazier allowed just two hits and struck out four batters in 2.1 innings before Steven Hensley came in to pick up the win with one inning of work. Hensley struck out two batters and didn't give up a single hit in the top of the ninth.

Tulsa improved to 5-6 on the young season and the Hooks dropped to 7-4.

The two teams wrap up their three-game series on Tuesday at 7:05 p.m. at ONEOK.
