Bald Eagle Nest Showcases Two Young Chicks

Baby eaglets grow so fast! The adult eagles nesting near Stillwater have two eaglets to care for at this time.

The young birds need a lot of food, so it's a good time to catch the adults feeding their young.

The live feed gives two views of a nest on Sooner Lake north of Stillwater. The nest is perched on an artificial pole constructed by OG&E in consultation with the Sutton Avian Research Center in Bartlesville and the Wildlife Service.

Two eggs is an average clutch size for Bald Eagles. This nest hatched four chicks but only two survived the competition for warmth and food.
