TPS Metro Honor Jazz Bands Perform At Jazz Hall Of Fame

Not every kid wants to grow up to be the next Justin Beiber or Taylor Swift. Some Tulsa students would rather follow in the footsteps of Miles Davis or Ella Fitzgerald.

The TPS Metro Jazz Honor Band performed Tuesday evening at the Oklahoma Jazz Hall of Fame.

The students have quite a reputation.

"These are the best of the best in Tulsa. Right here, great students from all over, from all the high schools--they truly are just the best students," said Doug Styers.

Tulsa Public Schools students audition for spots in the high school and middle school jazz bands each year.
