A convicted sex offender living in Tulsa is back in the Tulsa County jail, accused of raping a woman early Saturday morning.
The woman told deputies that Mark Joseph Vossler, 41, held her against her will in a car for over an hour.
According to a jail booking report, the woman said Vossler offered to take her home. On the way to her residence, he pulled a knife on her and told her to remove her clothes, the report said.
Vossler reportedly told the woman to perform oral sex on him and if she didn't, he would kill her.
The report said he also touched her privates without consent and then ordered her into the back seat of the vehicle and raped her.
A deputy said he was alerted when the woman was able to free herself after about an hour and ran up to him at a QuikTrip in the 200 block of North Gilcrease Road.
Vossler was convicted of sexual battery in 1993 and sentenced to five years in prison.
Court records show Vossler also has lived in Owasso, Collinsville, Sapulpa and Harrah since his release from prison. In 2006, he was convicted of failure to register as a sex offender and given a five-year suspended sentence.
He was arrested Saturday for first-degree rape, rape by instrumentation, forcible sodomy, kidnapping, assault with a deadly weapon and an outstanding warrant for failing to appear in court on a bogus check charge.
Vossler is being held in lieu of $196,500.
