Man Arrested Following Reported Rape At Tulsa Motel

A Tulsa man is in jail on a complaint of sexually assaulting a woman in a motel room in early February. Burnis Howard, 49, was booked Tuesday on a complaint of first degree rape.

According to jail records, the victim told police Howard beat her after he told her “I want to have sex with you,” on February 5, 2013. The victim told officers Howard punched her in the head numerous times.

Records show Howard admitted to police he hit the victim and sexually assaulted her.

Burnis Howard remains in jail on a $50,000 bond.

His next court appearance is set for March 26,2013.
