Police Search For Downtown Tulsa Thief

The man is entering business buildings and approaching unoccupied desks or common areas and stealing items of value, investigators said.

The Tulsa Police Department is seeking information in reference to a larceny suspect who is targeting downtown Tulsa area businesses as well as area hospitals, according to a news release.

The man is entering business buildings and approaching unoccupied desks or common areas and stealing items of value, investigators said.

Police said that when the man has been approached by employees, he says he in in the building to fill out an employment application or use the restroom. Items that have been stolen are iPhones, iPads, iPods, wallets and purses.

He is described as a black man in his early 20s with black hair. He is about 5-foot-10 to 6-foot and weighs 170-190 pounds. He has braids in his hair and has been seen with them pulled back into a ponytail. He wears a light grey hoodie or jacket with the "Scarface" movie silhouette either on the back or front and wears bright blue or turquoise tennis shoes.

It is also believed that he uses the city buses for transportation.

If anyone has noticed items missing from their workplace and noticed a black male matching the description, TPD asks you to file a police report.
