Some Capitol Hill heavyweights threw their support behind Hobby Lobby Wednesday.
The craft chain is fighting federal health mandates, requiring it to cover the morning after pill, saying it goes against the company's religious principles.
Republican Senators from nine states, including Oklahoma's Jim Inhofe, Utah's Orrin Hatch, and Senate minority leader Mitch McConnell agree.
The group has signed a legal brief, saying requiring coverage of the contraceptive drug violates the company's rights under the "Religious Freedom Act."
Hobby Lobby has also won the support of Oklahoma Attorney General Scott Pruitt and the Catholic Archdiocese that oversees Oklahoma.
The case is being appealed.
