State prison officials say an escapee from the Jackie Brannon Correctional Center in McAlester has been recaptured in Tulsa.
27-year-old Kenneth Hammick II was found and arrested late Thursday afternoon.
Investigators are still trying to determine who gave Hammick a ride to Tulsa -- about 90 miles north of McAlester.
The DOC says Hammick was reported missing early Thursday. Details of how he's believed to have escaped have not been released.
The Oklahoma Department of Corrections web site reports Hammick is serving a four-year sentence out of Cherokee County for possession of a controlled substance. He was set to be released in August 2014.
