The Public Safety Intelligence Working Group was formed last month after the shooting deaths of four women in a crime-plagued Tulsa neighborhood has recommended investing in a new records management system.
The change would enable police to better process intelligence. The working group also wants to develop new ways of funding the city's Crime Stoppers tip line. Recommendations from Tuesday's meeting will be submitted to the Tulsa City Council.
The group of community leaders, police and politicians has now met four times to discuss the blighted area of south Tulsa where homicides and other crimes have become commonplace in the past decade.
It was formed after a suggestion by Tulsa City Councilor G.T. Bynum.
