Construction To Begin Soon On Two I-44 Bridges In Catoosa

Construction on two bridges along I-44 will begin soon. The Oklahoma Department of Transportation awarded a contract to replace the two bridges over 177th East Avenue.

The project not only replaces two bridges considered structurally-deficient, but will allow the Interstate to be widened to eight lanes.

The bridges will take about 15 months to build. Construction could start this spring.
