Former Tulsa Day Care Worker Sentenced For Child Abuse

A former Tulsa daycare worker who pleaded no contest in 2012 to two counts of child abuse was sentenced Friday.

Meredith Howard was ordered to serve 12 years on each count, to be served concurrently, with three years on each count suspended.

Tulsa Police say Howard hurt a 19-month-old girl at the John Knox Development Center on November 4, 2010.

Her sentence will be up for review in January 2014.
