Search For Missing Joplin Man Continues On Grand Lake

Authorities are continuing search efforts on Grand Lake for a missing Joplin man.

The Grand River Dam Authority says Michael Chapman, 40, has been missing since Sunday, January 27, 2013.

GRDA Police recovered his boat Monday afternoon near Sailboat Bridge.

Crews have been using side and bottom sonar on boats as well as the GRDA's helicopters in sweeps from the bridge to the East Bay area of Grand Lake.

GRDA spokesperson Justin Alberty says weather conditions presented some obstacles on Tuesday, but every day since, officers have been busy looking for Chapman from sunrise to sunset.
