Volunteers from a Tulsa church are helping feed 100,000 children around the globe. Redeemer Covenant Church members gave up part of their weekend to pack meals made of chicken, soy, rice and vegetables.
Those meals are sent to some 70 developing countries.
"Eighteen thousand kids die a day of malnutrition, and this weekend we're actually doing something about it," said Gretchen Guillette of Redeemer Covenant Church.
Each meal only costs 22 cents to make but can mean the difference between life and death for the children who receive them. The meals the Tulsa volunteers made are heading to Haiti.
