Jury selection underway for a 62-year-old LeFlore County man charged with child neglect and sexual abuse after his nine children were found living in squalid conditions.
James Haskins is charged with nine counts of child neglect and three counts of sexual abuse.
His wife, Lucinda Haskins, 41, pleaded no contest to similar charges Friday in a LeFlore County court. She is scheduled to be sentenced February 22nd.
The couple were arrested in November 2011 at their secluded home near the Arkansas state line. The Haskins have nine children, ranging in age from three to 17. All nine children are now in the state's custody.
In October 2012, a Leflore County judge declared a mistrial for James Haskins, citing too many potential jurors had formed opinions on the case.
