Snowstorm Smacks Central And Western Oklahoma

Hazardous highway conditions were reported in several counties in central and western Oklahoma Tuesday as sanding crews treated roads and bridges throughout the state.

Hazardous highway conditions were reported in several counties in central and western Oklahoma Tuesday, as sanding crews treat roads and bridges throughout the state.

The Oklahoma Department of Transportation reported slick conditions on bridges on I-35 south of the Oklahoma City area and highway bridges in Garvin, Hughes, Johnston, Lincoln, McClain, Pontotoc, Pottawatomie and Seminole counties.

ODOT crews in western Oklahoma reported slick conditions on I-40 in Beckham, Washita, Custer counties due to blowing sleet and snow.

The Oklahoma Turnpike Authority says H. E. Bailey Turnpike reported heavy and blowing snow from Oklahoma City to Lawton.

Drivers on the Turner Turnpike experienced snowy conditions on the western end near Oklahoma City and mainly wet conditions on the eastern side near Tulsa.

The Cimarron Turnpike reported snow and blowing snow near I-35.
