Green Country shoppers give a boost to local Girl Scouts. Saturday was the fourth annual pearl sale inside Flemings at Utica Square.

The Juliette Low Leadership Society put on the event, and Fox Lane Pearls provided the jewelry including earrings, necklaces, bracelets and more.

A percentage of the proceeds will benefit local Girl Scouts.

"It benefits the Girl Scouts and it helps with fundraisers, camps, studying abroad and different scholarship programs as well," said Allison Jacobs of the Juliette Low Leadership Society.

Last year the fundraiser brought in $8,000. They hope they doubled that this year.
