Woman Arrested On DUI Complaint After Hitting Tanker Truck In Owasso

A woman was arrested for drunk driving after a hit and run crash on Highway 169 early Wednesday morning.

Owasso Police say the woman hit a tanker truck on the highway near 56th Street North at around 1:45 a.m.  Officers say the woman was driving northbound and attempted to go between the concrete divider wall and the tanker's trailer, hitting both.

The impact caused her car to spin around.  The truck driver pulled over and stopped, but the woman continued north on 169, according to police.

A witness gave a description of the woman's car to Owasso Police.  A short time later, officers located the car and the driver at a QuikTrip near 76th Street North and took her into custody on complaints of DUI and causing the crash.

Neither she nor the driver of the tanker truck was hurt.
