Tulsa Mayor Dewey Bartlett kicked off a new food drive Wednesday to help families in need across Green Country.
Everyone is encouraged to "Fill the Firehouse" this holiday season with non-perishable food items, which will be given to the Community Food Bank of Eastern Oklahoma.
"If you want to make a difference this holiday season, $1 will feed five meals," said food bank Director Eileen Bradshaw. "Knowing that your gift can be doubled really makes it timely."
Fill the Firehouse runs through December 20.
They're also accepting donations for Toys for Tots.

The George Kaiser Family Foundation says it will match financial donations to the food bank made by anyone who hasn't made a donation in the past 24 months. Those donations should be made through the food bank's web site.
