The Tulsa Area Chapter of the American Red Cross got some good news Wednesday.
The organization known for helping others got some help of its own.
The Lobeck Taylor Family Foundation gave the Red Cross a giant check for $238,787.78, to help cover the costs of responding to the August wildfires.
The foundation pledged to match donations to the Tulsa Area Red Cross, dollar for dollar, up to $100,000.

The extra money came from other donations.
"We really had small, individual people stepping up to help out their neighbors and a lot of first time donors to the Red Cross, as well," said Elizabeth Frame Ellison, with the Lobeck Taylor Family Foundation.
The Red Cross response to the fires included 21,000 meals, more than 20,000 bottles of water, and nearly 12,500 hours by volunteers and staff.
