Conference USA has honored four Golden Hurricane women's soccer players. Claire Hulcer, Raven Tatum and Jordan O'Brien were named to the All-Conference USA first, second and third teams, respectively, while Roman Edwards was named to the C-USA All-Freshman Team.
Hulcer, a senior defender from St. Louis, Mo., has started all 18 games this season and posted two goals, including one game-winner, and eight assists for 12 points. She helped TU record eight shutouts and anchored a defense that has allowed just 14 goals to rank 30th in the nation in goals-against average (.707). Hulcer was an All-C-USA Preseason Team honoree this year and was named to the league's second team a year ago.
A senior midfielder from Dallas, Tatum has started 15 of 18 games this season, and has three goals for six points. She has taken 23 shots on goal this season and has been named as TU's "Player of the Match" three times this year.
O'Brien, a junior midfielder from Garden Grove, Calif., has started 17 of 19 games this season, posting one goal and four assists for six points. She was named to the College Sports Madness C-USA Preseason second team, was selected to the Tulsa Invitational All-Tournament Team, and was TU's "Player of the Match" five times this season. O'Brien was an All-C-USA first team selection in 2010 and picked up third-team honors a year ago.
A freshman defender from Oklahoma City, Edwards has started in 14 of 19 games this year. She helped TU record eight shutouts and anchored a defense that has allowed just 14 goals to rank 30th in the nation in goals-against average (.707). Edwards has been named as TU's "Player of the Match" twice this year.
