Mike Howard recently purchased a fishing trip with professional angler Edwin Evers at a silent auction fundraiser for the Down Syndrome Association of Tulsa.

Our own Meteorologist Dick Faurot and Steve Perkins, and eight-year-old Aidan Keester went along for the tournament at Lake Spavinaw.

Watch how the trip went in the video above.

The month of October is Down Syndrome Awareness Month.

The 10th annual Tulsa Buddy Walk, the multi-city advocacy walk benefiting the Down Syndrome Association, is Sunday afternoon.

The walk will go from 1:30 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Union Public Schools' Central Park in Tulsa, at East 62nd Street and Mingo.

Registration is $10 per walker and all walkers with Down Syndrome will get free admission.
