The News On 6, the Better Business Bureau, and Shredders Inc. are teaming up to help you protect your identity.

Secure Your I.D. Day is Saturday. A good way to secure your identity is to shred documents that contain your personal information.

So, Shredders Inc. is hosting a free event Saturday, where you can bring up to two 30 gallon trash bags or two large boxes full of documents and have them shredded for free. For anything more, you'll be charged 14 cents per pound with a $20 minimum.

Shredders Inc. is located at 635 West 41st Street in Tulsa.

Come by Shredders from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday for the free event and meet "McGruff the crime fighting dog."

The BBB and Shredders will also be giving away several shredders and thumb drives, as well as goodie bags with valuable safety information, available for the first 1,000 cars.

Find out what you should shred here.
