Oklahoma Jazz Hall Of Fame Says Bills Are Paid

The Oklahoma Jazz Hall of Fame announced Monday that they have paid their debt to the Tulsa County Industrial Authority.

The Jazz Hall owed over $70,000 to the county and was facing eviction from the downtown Union Depot building.

Now, they say they're in the clear.

"We are appreciative of Chairman Smaligo working with the Jazz Hall during this period. The trustees' patience has allowed the Jazz Hall of Fame to meet these obligations, while maintaining our continuity of operations, which includes our innovative collaboration with Deborah Brown and her Sankofa Project", said Chairman Jeff Kos.

The Oklahoma Jazz Hall of Fame will be hosting a concert to thank donors on October 26, starting at 8:00 p.m. The concert will be free and will feature several local jazz musicians.

"The outpouring of support from longtime patrons and new made it possible to meet the recent financial obligations of over $70,000 required by the county," said CEO Jason McIntosh.
