Tulsa School Administrator Convicted Of Sex Abuse To Be Sentenced

A former teacher and assistant principal for Tulsa Public Schools, Robert Yerton, is scheduled to be sentenced Thursday in a Tulsa courtroom.

In late August, a Tulsa County jury found him guilty on three of five counts of sexual abuse.

The jury convicted Yerton on counts three counts of child sex abuse, child sex abuse and lewd molestation of a child.

The jury recommended Yerton spend 27 years in prison.

Robert Yerton worked as an administrator at Skelly Elementary School, and before that he was a teacher at Disney Elementary School.

His sentencing is set for 3 p.m.
