Philbrook Museum Screening Film For Domestic Violence Awareness Day

According to national statistics, one in four women has experienced domestic violence in her lifetime.

Tulsa Mayor Dewey Bartlett has made this Thursday Domestic Violence Awareness Day in our city.

In honor of that, the Philbrook Museum will show the powerful documentary Telling Amy's Story, which recounts a young mother's abusive life, until she was shot and killed by her husband in 2001.

The 60-minute documentary will begin at 7:30 p.m., followed by a panel discussion.

The showing is free and open to the public.
