An elderly Tulsa woman who had fallen in her home and couldn't get up for two days was rescued by police officers Thursday afternoon.
Tulsa police say officers Joshua Metcalf and Joshua Griffith were dispatched to the home in the 1600 block of East 58 Street after a neighbor asked them to check on the well being of a 76-year-old woman.
The neighbor told police he knocked on the woman's door for two days and hadn't gotten a response.
Metcalf could hear the woman calling for help through the front door and saw her lying on the floor when he looked in a window.
He then forced entry into the home and called EMSA to the scene, police said.
The woman was taken to a Tulsa hospital with a possible broken hip and other injuries. She told police she had been unable to move for two days.
