News On 6 Anchors, Meteorologists Wait Tables For Restaurant Week

Some News On 6 anchors and meteorologists will be waiting tables to benefit hungry Oklahoma children during Restaurant Week. Go to these participating restaurants Tuesday, September 11, and you may recognize the wait staff!

They're serving a great cause: the Food for Kids Program.

Restaurant Week continues through September 16 as part of Hunger Action Month. Thirty-four restaurants in northeast Oklahoma will offer prix fixe three-course meals with 10 percent of the proceeds going to the Community Food Bank of Eastern Oklahoma's Food for Kids program.

Extra donations are welcome! The George Kaiser Family Foundation will match proceeds from Restaurant Week up to $25,000.

The prix fixe meals will feature an appetizer, entrée and dessert.
