Tulsa Police are looking for at least three people for shooting a homeowner through his front door in northwest Tulsa early Thursday morning.

Police say the man's 5-year-old child was sleeping in the front room at the time.

The victim told officers a man came to the front door at about 1:45 a.m. and asked for help.  He told police that when he refused and shut the door, the man or someone with him started kicking the front door.

He then heard four shots, with one bullet hitting him in the leg.

"Very fortunate that the child wasn't hit. The individual that is shot is going to be okay. And a through and through gunshot wound to the leg," said Tulsa Police Cpl. Dan Miller.

By the time Tulsa Police arrived on scene, the men were gone.

Officers searched the neighborhood around the 1800 block of West Easton but didn't find the suspects.
