A world-wide shopping initiative that started in the high fashion stores of New York is returning to Tulsa. The 2nd annual Fashion's Night Out will take place this Thursday, September 6th.
Created by Vogue Editor in Chief Anna Wintour, Fashion's Night Out is a unique way to bring the fun back to shopping, while also helping generate revenue for stores in Tulsa.
"We've tripled in size since last year," said Fashion's Night Out Tulsa Marketing Director Stacy Rippy. "We have over forty stores involved in four shopping districts. Everybody's staying open late and planning their own in-store events."
Fashion's Night Out Tulsa will also host Designer Liz Lange for a special event Thursday morning at the Mayo Hotel.
"This is our kickoff event," said Rippy. "People can come hear Liz Lange speak. She's an entrepreneur, author, trend follower, and she makes women feel fabulous in their clothing!"
The event includes a luncheon, special runway shows and shopping.
Stores in Brookside, Cherry Street, Uitca Square and other locations will all participate in this year's evening event.
Fashion's Night Out Tulsa begins at 6 p.m. and events go until 10 p.m.
A special trolley will be in service to shuttle shoppers between locations.
