TPD Phone System Improvements Could Inconvenience Callers

The Tulsa Police Department is getting a new telephone system, and that could mean some temporary disruptions in service when you call them for non-emergencies.

During the conversion, callers may get no answer or a recorded AT&T message, saying the number has been disconnected.

Also, TPD phone numbers beginning with the 6-6-9 prefix will be changing.

Callers will get a voice recording notifying them of the new number.
