The University of Tulsa men's basketball team has added Auburn University transfer Cedrick McAfee to the program.
Head coach Danny Manning announced the addition Wednesday.
McAfee will sit out this upcoming season and will have three years of eligibility remaining when he begins playing in the 2013-2014 season.
"Cedrick is a very athletic player," Manning said. "He has a reputation as a scorer, and he is going to be a competitor. Those are the types of young men that we are looking to continuously bring into our program – those that compete at a high level. We certainly expect him to do that for us."
McAfee is a native of Memphis, Tenn., and was ranked as a Top 150 player by Rivals.com as a high school senior. He was a two-time first-team All-State selection as a junior and senior in high school as well.
Manning also announced redshirt sophomore Blondy Baruti will not be able to continue playing for Tulsa due to a foot injury.
