OU Heisman Trophy Winners Help Out Red Cross With Blood Drive

Three past OU Heisman trophy winners came to the rescue of the Red Cross Wednesday.

Steve Owens, Billy Sims and Jason White helped kick off the new blood donation campaign.

With blood supplies at a 15-year low, these Heisman heroes said they were proud to champion the cause.

"I had family members that needed it, you know, severely, so uh, I know what it means and the Red Cross does a great, outstanding job," Sims said.

The "Heismans to the Rescue" campaign runs through September 30.
