Tulsa County websites are back online Tuesday.

On Monday, when web users tried to access county websites such as those for the jail, county assessor, and land records, they were instead being taken to a paid site that appeared to have links to Tulsa County.

A county employee told News On 6 that issues with a known global malware virus caused the problem.

Some IT professionals who contacted News On 6 say the county just did not pay in time to renew its domain, so the site was down until the account was updated. It now appears to be good until July 7, 2022.
