Wife Arrested After Tulsa SUV Driver Found Stabbed

A Tulsa woman has been arrested in connection to her husband's stabbing.

Samantha Stewart Barnett, 23, is in Tulsa County Jail on a complaint of domestic assault with a deadly weapon.

Officers say her husband Kelvin Barnett was driving down 21st Street near 101st East Avenue at about 5:30 p.m. Sunday when he crossed the center median and just came to stop in the grass.

When passersby went to check on him, they found he'd been stabbed in the chest. Police say Barnett was rushed to the hospital.

He was able to tell emergency personnel that he was stabbed by a family member, according to the arrest report.

The arresting officer says that Samantha Barnett had a swollen upper lip, a bruised cheek and scratches when she was taken into custody.
