Rogers County Recount Confirms Walton Won Sheriff's Race

Last week, Cole Butler filed a request for a manual recount in 11 of the county's 36 precincts.

A recount of the votes in the Rogers County sheriff's race completed Monday afternoon, confirmed that Sheriff Scott Walton won the recount.

Walton won with 5,481 votes to opponent Cole Butler's 3,194. 

Last week, Butler filed a request for a manual recount in 11 of the county's 36 precincts.

The results did not change from last week's count.

Rogers County Election board officials tell News On 6, Butler asked for the recount because of concerns over the new voting machines.
