Tulsa's Westside YMCA Gets New Playground

Thanks to more than 200 volunteers, there is now a new playground at the Westside YMCA in the 5400 block of South Olympia in Tulsa.

Volunteers from Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Oklahoma, KaBOOM, Flintco and the Westside YMCA spent the morning putting the new playground together.

Organizers say the new playground will provide more than 2,000 children in the area with a safe place to play.

The new playground replaces a 30-year-old, out-dated wooden playground at the site.

Once the volunteers were done, a ribbon cutting ceremony was held to dedicate the new playground Saturday afternoon.
