Effective Friday, June 8, 2012, EMSA says it now has a dedicated ambulance stationed in Bixby 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

The ambulance is stationed at the old fire station at 100 East Dawes in downtown Bixby.

"Currently, we are on track in our master plan of delivering greater and more dedicated service to the Bixby area," said Duffy McAnallen, EMSA Director of Operations. "It is critical that we are able to reach patients as quickly as possible and this plan will allow us to do that."

EMSA says its future plans include having two ambulances based in Bixby with crews reporting to a Bixby site to begin and end their shifts.
