Tulsa Motorcyclist Killed In Construction Zone Crash

A Tulsa motorcyclist was killed on a highway exit ramp late Friday. The wreck was caused by unsafe speed on a curve, according to the Highway Patrol.

A Tulsa motorcyclist was killed on a highway exit ramp late Friday, May 18, according to a report by the Oklahoma Highway Patrol.

Timothy T. Beavers was eastbound on Interstate 244 just before 10 p.m. on a 2009 Harley Davidson motorcycle. Beavers was driving at a high rate of speed when he tried to exit onto State Highway 11 westbound, the report states.

The motorcycle failed to negotiate the curve and struck the end of a guardrail, according to Trooper Aaron Lockney.

The crash was in a construction area that is marked with a sign, "motorcycles use caution."

Beavers, 38, was pronounced dead at the scene from massive trunk and internal injuries.

His condition at the time of the wreck is listed as unknown. Lockney's report lists the cause of the fatality wreck as unsafe speed on a curve.
