Tulsa Police are looking for the driver of a white Nissan pickup truck which witnesses say struck a 9-year-old walking to Disney Elementary School Thursday morning.

Police say the pickup truck has dark tinted windows and may have a camper shell or covered bed.  It was last seen headed east on 31st Street from 121st East Avenue.  No model year was given.

The driver may be a man or a woman.  Tulsa Police talked with students who saw the incident and got conflicting information on sex of the driver.

Officers say the driver of the pickup apparently got out after hitting the boy, but then got back in and left.

Disney Elementary is located near 25th and Garnett.  The incident occurred about 2 blocks from the school just before 7:30 a.m.

Police say the boy sustained minor injuries and was taken by EMSA to a Tulsa hospital to be checked out.  They say the boy is expected to be treated and released.

If anyone has seen the Nissan pickup truck to call Crime Stoppers at 918-596-COPS.
