Tulsa Fire and PSO worked together Monday afternoon to put out a fire on a large utility pole near the downtown area.

The wooden utility pole which holds up several high voltage electric lines caught fire just before 1 p.m.

It is located at 4th and Lansing next to Highway 75.  Lansing is closed to traffic between 3rd and 5th Streets.

A PSO worker used a TFD hose to spray foam on the fire.

PSO says the utility pole will have to be replaced but isn't sure when that will happen.

Tulsa Fire and PSO have no idea how the fire started.
