Fresh Market Holds Tulsa Vendor Event And Job Fair

A North Carolina grocery store chain is holding a vendors' showcase and job fair in Tulsa on Tuesday, May 8, 2012.

The Fresh Market is planning to open up a store in Tulsa this year at 8015 South Yale and Tuesday they are hosting a Local Vendor Product Pitch Day.

"Supporting local food manufacturers has always been a core part of The Fresh Market's business," said Marc Jones, Senior Vice President for The Fresh Market.

Jones say purpose of the Pitch Day event is two-fold: local food manufacturers can introduce their retail-ready products to The Fresh Market as well as learn about the company's process for selecting, promoting and selling local products in its stores.

To participate, vendors need to send an email to buylocal@thefreshmarket.com.

The company is also holding a job fair Tuesday at Hilton at Southern Hills from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m.
