In 1956, Moscelyne and her husband Roman Jasinski founded the Tulsa Civic Ballet which later became known as the Tulsa Ballet.
She was born in Miami, Oklahoma in 1925. Her father was a Peoria-Shawnee and her mother was Russian ballet dancer.
Larkin trained under her mother before moving to New York City to further her studies.
