A man who listed puppies for sale on Craigslist told Tulsa police he was the victim of an armed robbery Wednesday night.
Tulsa Police, who posted about the robbery on Facebook, are looking for three men accused of stealing 12 Pit Bulls near 4100 S. 130th Street about 8:30 p.m.
The victim said a car, with three adult males and one child inside, pulled into his driveway to inquire about his dogs. The victim told police he took the men and child into his home to see the puppies. The child, who was about 4 years old, ran up to one of the dogs to pet it and was bitten, police said.
After the child was bitten, the men became aggressive and started threatening the victim, he told police. Two of the men ran to their car, retrieved handguns and told the victim, "We are taking your puppies because the child was bitten."
The men loaded the child and the 12 puppies in the car and left the scene. They were last seen going an unknown direction on East 31st Street, police said.
The first suspect is described as a black male, 5-foot-10, 170-180 pounds, wearing a Detroit Tigers ball cap and blue Dickies-type pants. The second man is described as a black male, 5-2, 160 pounds and wearing blue Dickies-type pants.
The suspects left the scene in a white 1999 Ford Crown Victoria four-door.
