Missing 2-Year-Old Boy Found Safe At Tulsa Day Care Center

A 2-year-old boy reported missing by his father was found safe Wednesday night at a south Tulsa day care center after a three hour search by police and neighbors.

Tulsa Police believe there may have been a miscommunication between the boy's parents as to when to pick the child up from the center located near 92nd and Memorial.

The boy's father reported the child missing around 5:30 p.m. He told police he was finishing up some outside work in the 9200 block of South 87th East Avenue when he realized the child was missing.

Tulsa Police canvassed the area on foot and by air for more than three hours attempting to locate the child. Several neighbors had also joined in the search.

Then around 9 p.m., word went out over the police two-way radio that the child was found safe.

Police did not issue an Amber Alert during the three hour search.
