Deputies say an Oologah woman fired a gun while intoxicated to find out how many rounds were in the weapon.
Rogers County Sheriff's Office deputies were called to the Oologah residence Monday evening on a complaint that the woman, Charlotte Brown, was firing a gun inside the house.
"Dispatch advised us the suspect may have shot herself but was still moving around the residence," said Captain Jerry Smittle in a news release.
The person who called in the complaint had gotten the gun away from Brown, who was not wounded. Deputies used a public address system to ask Brown to leave the residence, and she eventually complied.
Brown admitted to firing the gun inside the house, Smittle said. She told deputies she was curious to find out how many rounds were in the gun.
Charlotte Brown was transported to the Rogers County Jail on complaints of carrying a firearm while under the influence and reckless discharged of a firearm.
