Fallen Soldier's Father Writes 'Thank You' To Green Country

The family of Specialist James E. Dutton, whose body was returned to Oklahoma Friday, is expressing its gratitude.

Dozens lined the streets yesterday in Muskogee to honor a fallen soldier for his sacrifice.

Specialist James Dutton, 25, of Checotah, was killed March 31, in Logar province in Afghanistan. He was part of the 125th Brigade Support Battalion, stationed at Fort Bliss, Texas, and the 3rd Infantry Brigade Combat Team, which is in Afghanistan as part of Operation Enduring Freedom.

His body was returned to Oklahoma on Friday.

Now the family of Specialist James E. Dutton is expressing its gratitude to the people of Green Country.

Dutton's father said this in a statement he sent to News on 6:

I lack the words to properly express how we all feel.... This is what I want everyone in this country to see, not just the sacrifice of my son but what happens to the military families, friends and neighbors and members of communities and how these losses affect everyone.
