Broken Arrow City Manager Placed On Paid Administrative Leave

Broken Arrow City Manager David L. Wooden has been placed on paid administrative leave, and the city council is taking steps to terminate his contract, it announced Wednesday afternoon.

At the April 17, Broken Arrow City Council meeting, councilors voted unanimously to place Wooden on leave, which was effective at noon Wednesday.

The council also directed the Broken Arrow City Attorney to initiate discussions regarding termination of Wooden's contract. The issue will be voted on at a special council meeting scheduled for 5:30 p.m. Friday.

The city council also directed city staff to research and make a recommendation on a management consulting firm to assist in the search for a new City Manager, a news release said.
