The Red Cross honored a volunteer blood drive coordinator at Broken Arrow High School Wednesday morning for his years of service.
Steve Schwab has been responsible for the collection of more 6,500 units of blood during blood drives at the school.
Schwab feels he has instilled in his students the idea of donating blood as a civic responsibility.
He has been the Red Cross blood drive coordinator for Broken Arrow High School for 19-years. Schwab recently turned his duties over to a new coordinator.
